FAQ

What can I expect in the first appointment?

During the first session, you will be asked about what's brought you to counselling and what you're hoping to achieve. You may be asked some other questions to help us gain a good understanding of who you are, your current life circumstances and challenges. We will explain the general process of counselling and how further sessions can be structured to support your specific needs. You will also be able to ask your Psychologist any questions about the counselling process.

How much does counselling cost and are rebates available?

Fees may differ depending on the session type (e.g. Face-to-Face, Telehealth, couples or individuals). Please feel free to get in touch with us to receive a quote.  While you do not need a referral in order to make an appointment, Medicare rebates are only available with a valid GP/Psychiatrist referral letter and Mental Health Care Plan. Rebates may also be available for clients with Private Health Insurance, Work Cover or TAC Cover.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies between each individual. Some people may only require a few sessions to meet their goals, while others may benefit from more regular sessions. The amount of sessions required will be discussed during the initial consult and continuously reviewed throughout the counselling process.

How long does each therapy session take?

Sessions run for approximately 50 minutes.
